Who is Bashir Jamoh?
Bashir Jamoh (Ph.D) is the Executive Director Finance and Administration with over 25 years of public service experience. He had served in the Kaduna State Government before transferring his services to the then National Maritime Authority (NMA) in 1994.
Dr. Jamoh holds a Ph.D in Logistics and Transport Management from the University of Port Harcourt specializing in Maritime Security., Masters degree in Management from the Korea Maritime and Ocean University in South Korea, an Advanced Diploma in Management from the Bayero University Kano, a Professional Certificate in Materials Management from the Institute of Logistics in the UK and a Diploma in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He attended several leadership and management courses at the Havard University US, Oxford University UK, Cambridge University UK, International Training Centre of ILO Turin Italy, Institute of Public Private Partnership Washington DC, Royal Institute of Public Administration UK, World Maritime University Sweden, amongst others.
Having attained Management position since 2003, Bashir Jamoh has realized his career growth through effective performance as Principal Commercial Officer (Operations), Port Services Controller Onne, Port Services Controller Tin-Can Island Port, Assist. Chief Commercial Officer HQ,
He was also Assist. Chief Admin Officer & Chief Admin Officer (Training), Assistant Director (Wet and Dry Cargo (Operations), Assistant Director (Research), Head, Protocol & Logistics, Assistant Director (Training). He was appointed as the Executive Director (Admin & Finance) by the Federal Government on August 26th, 2016.
A consummate Administrator and Trainer, he has organized and facilitated leadership training and manpower development programmes in several countries including U.K., U.S.A., U.A.E., South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia and Sweden among others.
As Head of Unit, he provides leadership for a number of officers on learning and manpower development needs within and outside the agency. He is a highly esteemed and respected expert in maritime human capacity building, public-private partnership development in addition to Shipping Management and International Trade.
